This stamp set is fabulous. It has great images and sentiments for Father's Day and then some.
Background:
I started with a piece of Neenah 110 lb. Solar White card stock cut to 4 3/4 by 3 1/2 inches. I masked a straight line using some masking tape and blended on some soft orange pigment ink into the background. I think this color makes the scene feel warm and just the place where my lion family might hang out. I blended on some leaf silhouettes into the background using the same color ink.
The leaves and other elements were cut from another die set that I have in my stash with similar looking leaves. I cut them from various green card stocks as well as some cork. I love using cork on my projects.
Images:
I stamped my images using alcohol marker friendly ink onto alcohol marker friendly paper. I used my Copic Markers to color my images. I have created an alcohol marker Kolour Map to show each marker I used to create this look. I also finished off my lions with a black gel pen that allows me to darken their eyes and noes. This helps them stand out just a bit more.
I also stamped the little speech bubble with an open heart in the center from the same The Legend stamp set. I stamped this using green pigment ink that coordinates with the rest of the green that is going on, on the card.
The coordinating dies were used to cut out all of the lined images being used on this card. I used the crown die in this set to cut out the lion dad's crown although I did not use the stamp to create a lined image within it. I like the look of mixing lined images with die cut shapes in the same scene. Plus I love the look of this glitter card stock.
Sentiment:
I hand stamped the sentiment under the line I created for the background. I stamped the "#bestdadever" sentiment which is also from the "The Legend" stamp set with black ink.
Assembly:
I added my background to gray card base cut to size A2 and scored in a side folding landscape orientation. I used craft foam and tear tape adhesive to do this. I then added the foliage to the background panel using liquid adhesive. The images were popped up with foam squares to give them more dimension.

Hi, Koren - Your card is very sweet. I, too, like mixing die cuts and stamped elements. TFS -
